Zen Koumyouin (光明院 善, Kōmyōin Zen?) is the commanding officer of the second Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit. He is a good friend of Kiyoka Kudou.

Koumyouin is in his thirties, tall and usually dressed in formal military attire. He has a masculine, almost feral, visage and a scar under his sharp eyes. He is usually walking with a limp.
