Heart Flutter (心ときめく, Kokoro Tokimeku?) is the second chapter of Volume 7 of the My Happy Marriage novel.
Summary[]
After Miyo runs away from him, Kiyoka is filled with shame at himself for rushing things and being inconsiderate of her. He is so regretful that he ends up spending the night at the station and trying to focus on paperwork, but keeps recalling Miyo's words and her angry face, which he finds adorable. He also feels somewhat pleased that Miyo had gotten comfortable enough with him to get angry, though he acknowledges it isn't like her to act this way. The next morning, Kazushi and Godou find out what happened and take great amusement in the fact that Kiyoka is having a lovers' quarrel. Knowing that he will get teased for the rest of his life, Kiyoka asks them the most effective way to apologize to a woman.
Two days have passed since the incident. Miyo is avoiding Kiyoka because she would end up saying things that don't reflect her true feelings whenever she talks to him. Tadakiyo and Fuyu come by for a visit while Kiyoka is at work. Fuyu complains about the size of Kiyoka's house, but Tadakiyo reminds her that Kiyoka had bought it with his own money after resolving to live a quiet, private life. Kiyoka's parents and Yurie reminisce on their days living together in the Kudou estate. Fuyu is unable to stand Tadakiyo's teasing and storms out of the living room with Yurie going after her, leaving Tadakiyo and Miyo alone. Tadakiyo asks Miyo about the curse put on her, much to her horror. He explains that it is only an amateurish charm that would only cause her to say unfortunate things. When he learns that Kiyoka hadn't noticed it, he bursts into laughter. He assures her that Kiyoka didn't notice her curse because he was too excited about their wedding, which makes Miyo very happy.
