Prologue (序章, Joshouu?) is the prologue of Volume 3 of the My Happy Marriage novel.
Summary[]
As a young villager is making his way home through the mountain at night, he is suddenly drawn to a strange noise nearby and spots a human-like silhouette, shrouded in a dark cloak that conceal their identity. The mysterious figure is constantly glancing around as if fearing discovery. Driven by a sense of duty to his community, the villager quietly follows this figure and sees the cloaked figure entering a shack. Looking through the open door, the villager catches sight of another shadowy presence inside. Just as he decides to leave to inform other villagers, he turns to find a giant figure standing right behind him. When their eyes lock, a grating, teeth-grinding screech pierces the air. The villager realizes this is no human. There are two large, thick horns protruding from its head. The villager retreats backward, but falls in panic and loses consciousness.
