My Happy Marriage (わたしの幸せな結婚, Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon^?), synonymously known as simply Watakon, is a novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. It was originally a web novel serialized on Shōsetsuka ni Narō that then began been published since January 15, 2019 by Kadokawa's imprint Fujimi L Bunko. It is licensed in English by Yen Press, that published the first volume on January 18, 2022 under their Yen On imprint.

Synopsis

Born talentless to a noble family famous for her supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.

Audiobook

The Japanese audiobooks for the series, narrated by Mutsuki Iwanaka, began releasing on December 25, 2020.

In June 2024, Yen Press announced that they will begin releasing English audiobooks of the series in November 12, 2024. The audiobooks are narrated by Miranda Parkin and Damien Haas, the English voice actors for Miyo and Kiyoka, respectively.

Stage Reading

A stage reading of the novels was held on July 10-11, 2021.

Reception

As of June 2024, the combined sales of the light novels and manga have reached 9 million.
