My Happy Marriage Wiki:Manual of style

The Manual of Style (often abbreviated MOS) is a style guide for all articles and official documents in the My Happy Marriage Wiki. Please review the below procedures before editing or adding articles to this wiki.

Writing

• The original title of the series is わたしの幸せな結婚 (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon), but the English translation (My Happy Marriage) is easier to spell and write, so the use of the English name will be prioritized. In addition, the abbreviated title Watakon can be used when referring to the series as a whole (including the novel, manga and anime).
• Names should follow their latest Yen Press iteration. Do not use outdated Yen Press terminology and do not use fan-translated names unless there is no official translation.
• Use the Oxford comma in lists (eg: Miyo, Kiyoka and Yue).
• Names in Japanese should be written with the {{Nihongo}} template. Jisho.org is a useful tool to look for already romanized terms, mostly used for names.
• Capitalize all names of specific groups, entities, abilities and locations such as Forbidden Land, Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit or Dream-Sight.
• The Basic Description (beginning of the article) should be filled with information about what the topic in question is, what it is known for and what it is called.
  • Names and nicknames may use Bold Text.
  • This section should be written in present tense, according to the EN or JP novels. If the topic is not alive/no longer exists, then it should be written in the past perfect tense.
• Secondary description is a more in-depth exploration of the topic. The sections included in the secondary description could be as follows and should be written in this order:

References

• All information regarding the novel, characters, anime, manga and the world of the series should be referenced to official sources.
• All references, for consistency, must respect the following model (name of the page or article title, name of the site), except in the case of tweets or references to other wiki pages.

Images and Videos

• Image names should be descriptive enough, but not too long (for example: episode images follow the format Episode# Image#").
• In image galleries, the images must have a short description, so that it is clear who the author is and what it refers to (for example: Miyo Illustration by Tsukiho Tsukioka).
• Only videos from official/trusted sources should be hosted. YouTube is the most favorable site to find uploads from official channels.
