Time For Just The Two of Them (二人の時間, Futari no Jikan?) is the thirty-fourth chapter of the My Happy Marriage manga adaptation.
Summary[]
Miyo and Kiyoka walk down a road in Kiyoka's dream, which is now peaceful without the Grotesqueries. Miyo agonizes over apologizing to Kiyoka as she's afraid that he won't accept it. After he remarks on how quiet their surroundings are, Miyo plucks up her courage and tells him that there's something she wants to say before they reunite with the others. She apologizes for all the mistakes she made. Kiyoka also apologizes for his harsh words to her. Miyo tells him that he did nothing wrong as she had lost sight of everything that is precious to her and insisted on doing everything on her own. She admits that she was lying when she told the Usubas she didn't care either way if she stayed with Kiyoka or them. She asks him to let her stay by his side if he accepts her apology.
Miyo keeps her head lowered as she's afraid of seeing Kiyoka's face. However, he asks her to return to his side if she's fine with him and to choose him over the Usubas. Miyo happily accepts and takes his hand. Kiyoka expresses his relief and confesses that he had no idea what he would do if she refused him. He also tells her that he had planned to pick her up from the Usubas, but ended up being the one picked up himself. Miyo assures him that he has always been very dashing in her eyes. The two return to the real world together, hand-in-hand.
Miyo wakes up and sees Kiyoka's face above her's. He assures her that he's okay now, but feels weak after sleeping for so long. He apologizes for worrying her and thanks her for saving him. Miyo starts to cry in relief and he takes her into his arms. He pats her head comfortingly, which embarrasses her as she feels he's treating her like a child. They are interrupted by Hazuki and the others, who had been watching them the whole time. Hazuki teases them by remarking that it's good that they have made up. While Miyo gets extremely flustered over being watched, Kiyoka threatens Godou with the prospect of being his sparring partner.
Arata informs Miyo that he will be leaving now that his work here is done. Miyo thanks him and apologizes for not going back with him. She also asks him to tell her when he ends up receiving the emperor's punishment since she wants to receive it with the rest of the Usuba family. Kiyoka tells him that they will have a rematch one day and that he won't lose next time. Arata only smiles and tells him to try his best before leaving.
