Kiyoka's house (清霞の家, Kiyoka no ie?) is a residence where the head of the Kudou family, Kiyoka Kudou, lives with his fiancée Miyo Saimori.
Description[]
The residence is an unassuming domicile located in the woods on the outskirts of the Imperial Capital, at only a stone’s throw from the city. The landscape in the area is mostly forests, plantations, and fields, dotted with just a few houses, with nothing resembling a luxurious estate. A country path connects the area with the city's outskirts. Unlike in the city, the area gets pitch-black at night.[1]
The house is a single-story structure with just a few rooms. It's considerably smaller than both the Kudou villa in the countryside and the Kudou main estate.[2] It has a wooden exterior, which is still pristine, indicating that it has been built recently. Despite being located in the woods, the house has its own water supply. An automobile, which Kiyoka mainly uses to drive to work and to the city, is parked outside the house.[1]
From the entrance, there is a short wood-floored corridor that leads to the different chambers in the residence:[1]
- A study where Kiyoka spends his time at his desk.
- Miyo's room is a new room that was furnished only with the bare necessities: a futon, a desk, a chest of drawers, a mirror, and a clock.
- The kitchen has an oven and a pantry which is stocked with everything one needs for cooking.
- The living room where the family eats. The dining table had been put away and wooden chairs were left at the corner of the room as it is customary in the house to serve food on trays with legs.
