As the owner of Suzushima's, the go-to kimono store for generations for the Kudou family, she has known Kiyoka Kudou since he was a boy. Whenever he needed a new kimono, he’d have it tailor-made for him at her store. She’d become something of an acquaintance of his and had come to know many things about him, including not only that he was a stubborn bachelor but also that he hadn’t even really had a lover.[1]
