Itsuto Godou (五道 壱斗, Godō Itsuto?) is the former commanding officer of the Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit. He is the father of Yoshito Godou.

Itsuto was the former commander of the Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit and an esteemed Gift-user. He was strong and adored by his men.
His son Yoshito rebelled against him and studied abroad. Itsuto hounded talented Gift-user Kiyoka Kudou back in his student days to join the military. He wanted him to become the unit’s next commander. Kiyoka wasn’t interested in joining the military, so he went on to study at the imperial university.
Even after this, Itsuto refused to give up and kept inviting him to join. One day, Itsuto was killed in the line of duty. He was up against a fierce opponent, though he could have easily beaten him if he’d had Kiyoka at his side.
The Emperor wound up ordering Kiyoka to help Itsuto, but he didn’t make it in time. The day Itsuto died, all of the soldiers got out unharmed. When his son returned from studying abroad, he was convinced Kiyoka was responsible for Itsuto's death. Thanks to that, Kiyoka felt incredibly guilty, and he ultimately ended up joining the unit.[1]
