Imperial Capital (帝都, Teito?), officially named Tokyo (東京, Tōkyō?), is the capital city of the Empire of Japan.
Description[]
Following the Meiji Restoration in 1868, the seat of the Government of Japan and the location of the Emperor's home was moved from the Old capital to Edo, which is then renamed to Tokyo.
